Public Enemy verteld waarom de Europese tour is afgelast!

PUBLIC ENEMY DENIES RUMORS
OF EUROPEAN TOUR CANCELLATION DUE TO
TERRORISM CONCERNS

Group Still In Early Planning Stages of Major Worldwide Tour

Public Enemy responded today to rumors that a European tour had been cancelled because of terrorism concerns, stating that such a tour had never been booked. The rap group further denies changing any scheduled appearances out of fear for their safety.

“To set the record straight, the band never booked a Fall 2002 European tour, so how could we have cancelled a tour that we never confirmed or locked in?” said Public Enemy manager Walter Leaphart. “Unfortunately, certain London promoters began offering tickets to a concert that we had not yet agreed to. When the organizers realized their error, they may have inadvertently led ticket holders to believe the concert had been cancelled by Public Enemy, adding fuel to the rumor.”

“We were and have been in discussions regarding performing in numerous territories around the globe, but we have not yet agreed to any appearances. Pending Flavor Flav’s ‘lock down’ status, notwithstanding, we are looking into various touring opportunities, with possibilities including Europe, Cuba, Chile, Brazil, Australia, Asia and South Africa. At this point it is far too early to speculate as to when these tour dates will be finalized.”
