As the winner of the 2012 NH-Pop Live award, 3rd Floor Magic released their new videoclip "We Are One" in a sold out Paradiso. 3rd Floor Magic has build up quite the live reputation in which their enthousiastic & energetic performances are one of the key elements in what they like to describe as magic. The band avoids the cliche of beeing labeled with a genre by creating their own: Fusion Hop, a blend of Funk, Hip Hop, Reggae/Ska, Rock, Blues & sub-genres.
3rd Floor Magic started up on the 3rd floor in Tim "Tuxedo" Blok's homestudio in Amsterdam somewhere in August 2011, where he and Hilin Duyu, the female vocalist of the band started recording songs together. What started as a duo is now a 6 piece band existing of drums (Rafi Ishak), bass (Max de Lange), guitar (Alon Dreesde), keys (Remi Besancon) + Tim "Tuxedo" Blok (Vocals) & Hilin Duyu (vocals). In January 2012 the band played as the support act for the Gym Class Heroes, during the release of their debut album they sold out P60, gave live performances on national radio stations 3FM & Radio 538, the band played in more than 37 cities duting their Dutch tour and played over 50 shows in 2012. In 2013rd Floor Magic has big plans with sold out shows in their agenda & a 2nd album, 3rd Floor Factory which will be realeased somewhere in October.
