Battleaxe Records nieuws

Swollen Members’ new full-length release, the highly anticipated “Monsters in the Closet”, hit stores across Canada last week. The project is a compilation of rare and unreleased recordings, remixes, and some banging new tracks combined together to form a solid collection released specifically for their core audience, to keep the momentum in full swing until their next album hits the streets. Check out the music section of our website for more details on the album, to listen to tracks, and to watch the music video for the first single “Bring It Home”, which recently hit #1 on MuchMusic and will be playing on other video networks shortly. “Monsters in the Closet” is now also available in our online store, and will be available in stores worldwide on November 12th.

In other Swollen Members news, Moka Only has officially rejoined the group, and DJ/ producer Rob The Viking has also been made an official member. As a unit, you can expect them to take things even further, and keep putting out dope music. We’re proud to announce that the last Swollen album, “Bad Dreams”, has officially gone platinum in Canada, in just 10 months since its release.

Since its been quite a while since we sent out our last newsletter (sorry, we’re swamped), we’ve got several new releases for you to check out, aside from the new Swollen Members album. In the last few months we’ve put out albums by Buc Fifty, DJ Murge, Mr. Brady, Sweatshop Union, and a limited edition Moka Only album. And for those of you who are completely asleep, we have now released 17 albums between Battleaxe and our sub-label Underworld Inc, a ton of tight music. Hit up the music section of the website to get more info on each album and to listen to tracks.
